On Wednesday two weeks ago the St.Johns Volunteers launched their Healthy Club initiative. We are one of 16 clubs nationally picked by Croke Park to participate.
Ms Stacey Conon National Co ordinater from Croke Park joined us on the night to deliver her presentation.
Ms Eithne O Sullivan Project Co ordinater for the Volunteers launched our project with it being endorsed by Dr Adian Buckley Consultant Cardiologist in Wexford General Hospital.
this project is run  by the Volunteers in conjunction with the Health Promotion Unit of the HSE and Croke Park to involve club members &the local and wider community.
St Johns Volunteers will kick start this initiative at the schools sports dat in St Johns Road Mercy School this Wednesday were we will be providing the kids with our healthy option stand with snacks, fruit, water and sunblock.
Thank you to all who attended on the night and to Pettits Super value, Tesco, Paric Murphy Chemist & Pat Gately,Principle Mercy School.

Model County Draw 2013.Please Support the Model County draw by purchasing tickets, available from club members. The Model County Draw bring much need financal support to both County Board & our club. The Model County Draw is in its 21st year and prizes range from cars to family holidays to vouchers and final 30 prizes in cash. The  draw takes place in the Wexford GAA Offices in Wexford Park Thank you to all in advance who have and continue to support the draw.
Club Membership is now due. Please contact committee members or mentor.
Last weeks Lotto took place in Jim McGees  , no jackpot winner & no match three winner Numbers were   Next weeks draw takes place in the Dixie Barretts at 9.15pm.

Under 6s - Under 8s: Fun and games continues this Friday evening from 6-7pm in Paric Charman. All new members welcome.

Under 10s: Hurling & football training on Tuesday evening from 7pm in Paric Charman.Match wednesday evening at 7pm in Paric Charman


Under 12s:  .On Sunday & Monday Last the St.Johns Volunteers run their annual Mini All Ireland.  Great weather added to what was an enjoyable weekend. The final will be on this Sunday in Pairc Charman. On behalf of all in the Volunteers we thank everyone who helped out at the events and to all teams and supporters who travelled far and near. Football training is on Friday evening from 6-7pm in Paric Charman. For further information on both contact Paul McMahon on (087-9327383).

Under 14s: . Hurling training is on Monday evenings 6-7pm & football Wednesday evening 7-8 in Paric Charman.

Under 16s: Well done to our U16 footballers who won their match in the first division of the championship. Football training is on Tuesday evening 6-7pm in Paric Charman.

Adult Football:  Training on tuesday at 6.30 & thursday at 8pm 

Adult Hurling:   Hurling league match on tuesday at7.30pm at home Vs Bunclody. Match saturday at 2pm away to Rathnure and the following weekend to Glynn /Barntown in Kilurin.
